Mommotti 180 SS is a saltwater jerk that in a very short time has gained a great consensus among European fishermen. It is designed to ensure long cast in the most difficult weather and sea conditions and continuous flashes during jerk. A basic lures for the Mediterranean angler. We have deliberately tried a relationship weight-volume that would guarantee to us long cast and a refined lightness in swimming, both in linear retrieve and cast, which makes them very stable even in the presence of currents and towards apathetic predators. The choice of the inner armor forced us to a particular design effort in the distribution of internal tungsten weights with a constant attention to the perfection of the action of swimming.
Suitable for all predators such as seabass, bluefish, barracuda, leerfish, dolphin fish, amberjack, seabream, and tuna species.
Designers attention has been focused on four different points: the positioning of the internal weights to increase even further the already long throw of the lure, the slight thickening of the lip as additional protection for accidental breakage, a thickening of the final septum of the channel of the dynamic inner weights and the use of reinforced Très Seaspin T3X treble hooks.
Typical action of the lure is a death fall with a light roll that is particularly attracting with sea bass and barracuda.
The research led to create a slight ventral bend giving the lure extra instability in swimming and which proved to be particularly enticed to predators.
